The Upper Crust Pizzeria

After waiting for two long weeks, we finally visited the Upper Crust Pizzeria on Newbury Street. We went at an early time around 5:30 and beat the Sunday dinner crowd, and since we already knew what we wanted to order, the ordering didn’t take that long.

Although I just wanted two slices of pizza, one can only order cheese, pepperoni, or pizza of the day (which was broccoli with some sort of cheese…) by slices, so Jeff and I decided to half the pizza into what we wanted: White Spinach and the Uncommon Pizza.

White Spinach was a bit salty for both of us – I usually like salty things, but I still thought that it was a bit too much. I feel like they accidentally salted my side of the pizza twice, but I still really enjoyed it (especially after a delay of one week to visit the Upper Crust drool-ness). It had fresh spinach, mozzarella, feta cheese, and fresh garlic on it with white pizza topping, which means that it is with shredded mozzarella. The Uncommon Pizza had bacon, fresh pineapple, and jalapeno pepper. If you like pineapple on pizza, this is the one to go and they also have Hawaiian with Canadian bacon.

The experience was great. The time between ordering and eating was about fifteen minutes, I’d say, during non-crowded time. Also, there aren’t many seats there, so definitely be strategic about the time you go there.

*I like how you can order the pizza with whole wheat dough!
