Fourth of July weekend–our first night in Ocean City, Maryland, we visited Liquid Assets, a bistro that was filled with people. We Yelped this restaurant, and the high rating was surely correct. We had to wait for about thirty minutes, but it didn’t feel that long as we ordered drinks at the bar and explored the wide selection of wine that was neatly aligned on every wall surface at the restaurant. We were seated before we thought we’d get seated, and that’s always a plus.
Unfortunately, I forgot to take pictures of the appetizers:
Flash Fried Calamari (chipotle horseradish sauce), Bruschetta (Italian sausage, onions, peppers, provolone, ciabatta, xvoo, and herbs), and Tuna Crisps (crispy wontons, wasabi siracha cream cheese, sesame seeds, scallions, and kimchee).
Tons of seafood available in this area of Maryland. Bruschetta with sausage was a first for me, but the texture of it went well together with the crispy bread and crunches from the other ingredients. Tuna crisps was like seared tuna, and I was happy to find seaweed salad at an American restaurant.
Although I missed taking photos in the first part of dinner, I have pictures of main dishes and dessert!
I would say everything was good but the scallops risotto was the best. I have to say the doughnuts were amazing, too. It was a different type of doughnut than the normal ones you’d imagine. This one was more like bread with some chewiness, and the strawberry glaze (which I usually am not a huge fan of) went so well together with the doughnuts. Loved it! I liked every dish, though, and I was pleasantly surprised to get dishes like this in Ocean City.
