This brand, famous for their cometic lineup, also has several cafes in Japan. I went to the one in Shibuya because we wanted to eat something green tea flavored. After lining up for about 30 minutes, we finally got to sit (this was around 5PM). By the time we sat down, we knew what we wanted to eat, and I ordered their green tea shaved ice with red beans and mochi.
It was topped with a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream! so I got a bit of western accent on it (that went well together with the Japanese green tea). The shaved ice was super soft, it was like fluffy snow. Usually, the inside is just plain simple no flavor ice, but you have to see–the inside was also green!
Each one of us got this strip of paper with the cafe’s logo on it and a word from Kyoto dialect. Mine said “okibariyasu,” which one (like me) does not understand in Tokyo dialect, and it means to put effort into doing something. Very relavant to my life.
